Chat platform

  • Avantis, realizing many messaging projects (including Fun Skan, Tok2Me) developed a specialized platform for managing the chat-type services based on the latest technologies like Java, Oracle.
  • Chat platform is built in module way what allows for registration of many messaging services on the technologically advanced cooperating components.
  • Chat platform is prepared for managing many channels (multichannel): SMS, MMS, IVR, WAP, WWW and Java that can work both independently and come into interactions.
  • The platform contains developed mechanisms of establishing conversations between users interested in them – according to the defined criteria and coefficients allowing for effective search of proper interlocutor.
  • The platform allows for management of parallel conversations. Simultaneously, a chatting person can independently participate in a few conversation with unique users on channels assigned to every conversation (up to 8 simultaneous conversations). In case of change of interlocutor a channel switches dynamically (new person is connected).
  • Every user has a profile containing data like nick, age, sex, hobbies which are used for matching “ideal” interlocutors. Access to the edition of profile can be realized via wap, www, sms and ivr channels.
  • The platform allows for realization of “conference conversations” (chatroom) between a group of people. A message is sent to every chat user being in the virtual chat room. Administrator of a room can block or invite particular people and create new chatroom. There is a possibility of creating a chatroom assigned to selected geographical location.
  • The platform uses a mechanism of terminal’s geographic localisation that allows for finding a interlocutor closest to the given place and in the selected region of Poland.  
  • Geographic localisation mechanism gives a possibility of virtual moving to the chosen place in Poland (e.g. particular city) without physical change in location. Jump to other city is realized with keeping real geographical coordinates what allows for real search for interlocutor in the indicated area.
  • Proper configuration of the modules allows for quick creation of subservices within given chat on the defined assumptions that cause precise reaching targeted group of people.
  • IVR (Interactive Voice Response) is an effective component completing the chat based on sms or wap channels. IVR allows for establishing voice connection directly between talking people using e.g. sms channel what extends the interaction spectrum between them. IVR can be also used to leave or listen voice messages or business cards.
  • Use of dedicated WWW and Wap pages allows for quick edition of the profile, search of the interlocutors according to the defined criteria and initiation of a conversation that can be directed to the proper channel: sms , wap.
  • Java communicator (phone application written in Java) is an interface allowing for quick access to chat management in one place: running a conversation from the phone level, profile edition, creation of the list of the favourite interlocutors, conversations history reviewing. Java communicator can use GPRS connection and initiate or receive SMS.

Sample modules:

  • Account management – edition of profile through wap, www and sms channels (Nick, sex, adding photos etc.)
  • Communication module – messages initiation and sending (various channels, conversations between people, group chats, voice connections).
  • Localisation module – geographical locating of the interlocutors coordinates, e.g. interlocutors closest to the given one
  • Search module – searching according to the defined criteria (e.g. age, sex). It gives, in connection with localisation module, a possibility of very precise finding an interlocutor.
  • Management module – allows for coordination of the communication between chat interlocutors (dynamic chat channels) and separate systems like SMS Center, HLR bases, WAP and WW pages, etc.
  • IVR voice communication – voice conversations, logging into chats, recording and listening of voice business cards, recording messages for interlocutors (automatic secretary)
